Journey of Light (JoL) is a project that is very personal. JoL was designed to help the general population, especially teenagers deal with people who were on the autism spectrum. A lot of research went into understanding the difficulties faced by people on the spectrum. One of my team members had a son who was on the spectrum, and this helped us get a deep understanding of the condition. 

I worked on the core and side mechanics of JoL along with all the art work. Designing the mechanics was a challenge as the player is in control of a character who is on the spectrum and these mechanics had to be a faithful representation of what people suffering this condition goes through. 

Working on JoL helped me understand and reaffirm the belief that games can be a great medium for educating the young generation about sensitive issues in an interactive and informative manner without talking down to them.
